Season Long Volunteer Roles
These 2026 season long volunteer roles fulfill family volunteer requirements.
2026 Dive Team Representatives – Heidi Lawrence, Kay Miller and Ben Jackson
Dive Team Reps are responsible for managing and coordinating activities for the summer dive season. Tuckahoe Team Reps attend NVSL meetings throughout the year (2x/year), ensure that key volunteers are in place for all positions, assist with interviewing and hiring the coaching staff, and make decisions as necessary to ensure the team runs efficiently. Dive Team Reps coordinate major meets with other Team Reps in the division. For "A" Meets, the Reps ensure that the necessary preparations, supplies and volunteers are ready at the start of the meet. The Reps also work and consult with the coaching staff, pool board and staff on all matters, as necessary, relating to dive team operations. Dive Team Reps are the primary point of contact for the team.
B Meet Coordinators
Our B Meet Coordinators ensure that the necessary preparations, supplies and volunteers are ready at the start of the meet. Our B Meet Coordinators represent Tuckahoe at these meets.
Dive Team Treasurer – Hiranya Maru
Our Dive Team Treasurer tracks all income and expenditures for dive team, some of which include registration fees, sportswear purchases, Fun Friday purchases and a million little items that no one else would ever notice. Our Treasurer executes reimbursements for team-related expenses quickly and accurately, and goes above and beyond all things bookkeeping.
Fun Friday Coordinator
Our
Fun Friday Coordinator will support our Fun Friday activities and
oversees volunteers that may help with activities. Coaches will have a
plan for each Fun Friday, but our Fun Friday Coordinator may be
responsible for picking up/gathering needed supplies for a special game
or activity, bringing donuts or other treats, etc.
Spirit Wear Coordinator – Saira Smith
Our Spirit Wear Coordinator leads the selection of a vendor and works with our vendor to choose and design team shirts, select and design spirit wear and coordinates team orders.
Team Directory Coordinator
Our Team Directory Coordinator creates a team directory, which includes editing, formatting, printing and distribution. Our Team Directory Coordinator may also solicit advertisers to off-set production costs.
