2026 Volunteer Policy
Families are the core of the Tuckahoe Flying Tigers Dive Team! Without YOU we cannot run meets and team activities. Divers love having their families involved in the summer fun and volunteering your time is a fantastic way to meet other Flying Tigers families!
It takes at least 15-20 volunteers to run a dive meet. You don't need dive experience to fulfill most dive meet volunteer roles. To effectively run the Tuckahoe Flying Tigers Dive season, dive families must fulfill a minimum of 1.5 volunteer credits.
During Summer 2026 registration, a $200 pre-approved charge will be applied to your credit card, but not charged. At the end of the season, we will process this charge if your family volunteer obligation is not met. We don't want your money -- we want your help! The best way to learn what dive is about is to become part of the action.
While each family is required to fulfill 1.5 volunteer credits, that doesn't always cover all our openings. We greatly appreciate parents willing to pitch in when extra hands are needed.
If you are unable to fulfill the volunteer role you signed up for, please notify the Dive Team Reps at least 48-hours in advance. If you're canceling within 24-hours of your volunteer role, please attempt to find a replacement notify the Dive Team Reps immediately at [email protected].
